Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

1. About the Journal

Research Edge International Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles, review papers, case studies, and short communications across diverse academic disciplines. Submissions must present original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere.

2. Types of Submissions

The journal accepts the following categories:

3. Manuscript Preparation

Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise English.

File Format

Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format only.

Font & Spacing

Font: Times New Roman
Size: 12 pt
Line Spacing: 1.5
Margins: 1 inch on all sides
Alignment: Justified

Word Limit

Research Articles: 4000–8000 words
Review Articles: 5000–9000 words
Short Communications: 2000–3000 words

4. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be arranged in the following order:

Title Page
Abstract (150–250 words)
Keywords (4–6 keywords)
Introduction
Literature Review (if applicable)
Methodology
Results / Findings
Discussion
Conclusion
Acknowledgment (if any)
References

5. Title Page Requirements

The title page must include:

Full title of the manuscript
Author name(s)
Institutional affiliation
Email address of corresponding author
ORCID ID (if available)

6. Referencing Style

The journal follows the APA (7th Edition) referencing style.

In-text Citation Examples

Single author:
(Smith, 2020)

Two authors:
(Smith & Brown, 2021)

Three or more authors:
(Smith et al., 2022)

7. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively.
Provide clear captions.
Images must be high resolution (minimum 300 dpi).
Mention source if adapted or reproduced.

8. Ethical Considerations

Authors must ensure:

The manuscript is original and free from plagiarism.
Proper acknowledgment of sources.
Ethical approval for research involving human or animal subjects.
Disclosure of any conflict of interest.

Plagiarism above acceptable limits will lead to immediate rejection.

9. Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo double-blind peer review. The editorial board reserves the right to accept, reject, or request revisions.

10. Copyright & Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their work. Published articles are distributed under an open-access license as per journal policy.

11. Submission Process

Authors must submit manuscripts through the online submission system available on the journal website. Email submissions are not accepted.

Copyright Notice

Authors who publish with Research Edge International Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies agree to the following terms:

The submitted manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
The authors retain the copyright of their work. Upon acceptance, the authors grant the journal the right of first publication.
The article will be published under an open-access policy, allowing readers to read, download, copy, distribute, and share the work for academic and non-commercial purposes, provided proper citation is given to the original publication.
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce any copyrighted material (figures, tables, images, or extensive quotations) included in their manuscript.
The journal and its editorial board are not responsible for any copyright infringement claims arising from the content submitted by the authors.
Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, or ethical misconduct discovered after publication may result in retraction of the article.
